Deborah Brown, NP

Deborah began her Nursing career at the BIDMC where she was employed as a Nurse (Clinical Nurse 3) from 1984 to 1993.  After graduate school her focus was Adult Nurse Practitioner Musculoskeletal Medicine Field.  The majority of her time was with the MIT Medical Department, almost a decade at MIT. 

In addition to her Clinical duties at MIT in the Orthopedic Surgery Department, she also helped establish a “walk-in”  Sports Medicine Clinic for Intramural Athletes on Campus and she also worked with a Campus based Ergonomic Committee.   

Her most recent experience at the BIDMC Orthopedic Surgery Department was in the Musculoskeletal Medicine and Joint Arthroplasty Orthopedic Surgery Division.

Current Member of National Ski Patrol.  Active in Teaching Ski and Toboggan skills to Ski Patrollers trying to become “Senior Patrollers”.   Also,  currently taking NSP courses in Avalanche Training and Mountain Travel and Rescue

Trained for and reached the Summit of Mount Rainier, Washington State, USA.    July 2005.

*Novice Triathlete, enjoy “Sprint Triathlons” and hopes to complete an International level Distance Triathlon in 2009. 

*Novice Runner, Completed the Dublin Marathon, Dublin Ireland.  2006.
